Moderation Feedback Thread

Post by Raion-Fox » Sat Dec 30, 2017 4:17 pm

To avoid a situation where I have people disgruntled with the way I run the site and feeling I do not address their concerns, this is a thread you can use to give open feedback on any moderator.

I will never ban someone for a simple disagreement with the staff, only for extreme cases of disrespect or disregarding our wishes.

I always felt that I was treated fairly at nekochan and knowing you I imagine I will feel the same here.

You might want to nuke the guy that's posting Cyrillic spam in the off-topic forum though.

I would advise adding a bit to the rules to cover indiscretions. ie, a strike/warning system before a ban? And maybe if there's any scope for temporary bans?

I tend to find that people complain less if they can see the rules, the consequences for falling foul of these, and can see that they are being applied in a fair manner.

I don't see anything that concerns me so far. I've seen some wacko forum admins in my day too, the kind that cuss and ban and abuse peoples personal information like posting email addresses and such.

I had one guy put mine and some other guys email as his contact address saying "leave death threats here" after the site shut down because of internal infighting among the mods and admins. Apparently it was our fault that the idiots destroyed their own forum somehow. LOL.

I trust none of that will happen here.

It looks like newly registered members cannot PM immediately.
That sounds like a good policy, but it looks like i cannot reply to any PM i get at this moment.

Could this be an unintentional side-effect?
