Does anyone have/know of libport.so.1 lib ?

Post by radiance » Tue Jul 31, 2018 6:28 pm

Hi all,

I am trying to get an old binary working on a 6.5.22 system which needs the shared lib called "libport.so.1"
Never heard of it and can't find it anywhere...

I've tried to search for it via google and cannot find anything about it.
There is an unrelated "GNU libports" and a libport.la as part of libtiff, but I also think it's unrelated...

Has anyone ever encountered this shared lib ?

Would you mind doing a quick find on your system and see if you have the file in question somewhere ?
If you have a mips4 version of it, would love it if you can PM it to me ;)

Thanks :)

It's not something you know, I pulled it off a old machine on which it was developed, but don't have the machine anymore...
Have you seen this lib before ?

I can't say I did, I was just wondering if it was a known program I could have dug around and tried to find the bundled libs

Thanks ;)

maybe the people who read this thread could do a "find /usr | grep libport" just to check ?

What would help is the list of functions from libport.so which the executable needs. 'elfdump' can help you with tracing the unknown functions or subroutines.
Try

Code: Select all

elfdump -h <executable>
if I remember correctly.
