Ooh, lucky. I've always loved the Thunderbird, but I can't justify the cost. I was seriously considering the Tokai copies at one point (apparently they're almost as good). That said, I'm good for basses anyway. I've got a late 70's Peavy T-40 and a late 60's (I think) Teisco short scale bass.

RE: Latest purchase?
It'd be fun to try some of those esoteric '60s definitely-not-a-copy designs sometime. There was an incredibly stylish old Victoria bass on Craigslist near me a while back, but by the time I had the cash to spare it was gone...

Yeah, one of these days I really want to pick up an Ibanez Destroyer bass (korina Gibson Explorer bass copy) from before they got sued and had to change the design.

Heh, that'd do you for your '80s metal tribute band setup Big Grin Never tried the Explorer myself, but it's got to be more ergonomic than the Flying V, at least...

RE: Latest purchase?
With the death of the T61P. It was time to buy a modern laptop. In this case an MSI GP63 8RE. Hexacore 2.2ghz. 16GB RAM. 128GB SSD. 1TB HDD. nVidia 1060 GTX (6 GB). This thing runs the Titanic: Honor and Glory Demo 3 at full settings without any difficulty. My mind was blown. I expect similar results with the DCS simulators.

Of course it runs Windows 10 and I thought I was going to hate it, but once you go to the trouble of cleaning it up and making it presentable(that is to remove all the telemetry, garbage and shiet apps), it's actually quite nice.

A GoPro Hero5 session, so that I can finally start to make "proper" Youtube videos of machines. (This will just have to do for now, a professional camera will come much later.)

The first machine that I'll do a proper review on will be the AlphaStation 255.
