Latest purchase?

Seem the problem is thus...

Rest of the boards are populated, so I guess I need to spread some memory?

It's very interesting that the machine was configured in this way!

Did it give you a memory error?

My Onyx2 only has 1GB of RAM installed in it and it takes quite a while to initialise the memory, I have been warned that if I install 8GB, that it will take a really long time to initialise.

I wonder if all of the banks actually need to be populated with numalink, as from what I understand, there is a numalink router on the mid-plane and the system pools its memory? (I'm probably completely wrong though!)

OK so, one empty board, and three fully populated.

and

What is going to be my best option?

Re: Latest purchase?
My modules are populated as such: (There'n not much there!)

I would suggest spreading the memory in such a way between all of the modules. (fill the memory from this side.)

EDIT:

I see that your memory appears to be made up of mixed sizes! (Maybe try to match it between all of the CPU's as a start, not that it necessarily matters, but just to make sure.)

Re: Latest purchase?
They take really long to boot, I think that my machine shows the same code while booting and then shows the code that I posted earlier once it's ready to start loading the operating system.

Do you have any idea as to how much RAM is installed?

Start the machine, go and watch a movie to pass the time and then come back!

Re: Latest purchase?
I see you're up and running, awesome!!!

That's quite a machine you have over there!!!

EDIT:

How are you finding your Origin2000 compared to your Tezros in terms of processing performance or nippiness, as I realise you can't compare them from a graphics hardware point of view?
