AUTODESK FLAME 2008 SERVICE PACK 6

Re: AUTODESK FLAME 2008 SERVICE PACK 6
I had the same issue when setting up framestore on JBOD array, I forgot to stop sw and also forgot that drives previously set for other framestore. That lead me to troubles. The key was to remove DL labels from drives, under sw-config or fx.
But I should check it on my octane because I really don't remember exactly.

Sure xfs, root and remember to sync label. But remember I rely only on my weak memory. I'm in countryside with my ipad only. Fx will tell you if drive is ok (ie. Label, partitioning).

Ok. I see sw_config partitioned drive with s+w partition. Now you should be able to save and exit sw_config. Then restart sw or even better restart system.

I'm restarting the system now!

Do you think it will be usable now?

I suppose you were able to save config? If so everything is ok,during booting you should see logs about starting sw and mounting partition 0. After login to your flame account run flame -vir and have fun.

Btw I see you booted from cdrom to run fx, it was unnecessary. After instalation of irix fx command is in bin directory, so you can get it simply in console.

I realised this afterwards.

It still isn't working.

But after startup of system partition should be already mounted. Why are you trying to mount it again? Try sw_df from sw directory (if I remember correctly).
