Do you leave your machines plugged in, when they're not in use?

I've been using a pair of these for years now: https://www.apc.com/shop/uk/en/products/...9/P-AP7953
There's one in my server rack (where you'd expect them), and one behind my workstations. I can remotely switch power to everything, using a web interface, SSH, telnet or even SNMP (which allows for nifty scripting)

My machines are all either on or unplugged if not using them. I've just heard leaving them plugged in and inactive is bad for them. Works in my head so that's what I do.
