Post links where you can download software for Solaris here: (Please specify which version of Solaris the software runs on.)

Here's a link that commodorejohn showed me:

Re: Solaris Software
I've had this bookmarked for a while... I believe it's a mirror of Sunfreeware from before they took down all the downloads and went pay-only. Packages for 2.5, 2.6, 7, 8, 9, and 10, i386 and Sparc.

Oh sweet. I've been frustrated because so many searches for Solaris software end up pointing back to that one central repository that effectively doesn't exist anymore... :/

Re: Solaris/Software/Games
I've been on the hunt for pretty much any software installers for SunOS/Solaris, license included or not. I'd really love to find some sort of electronics software like Cadence or anything that can do schematic capture/board layout/ASIC design/etc.

I have found installers for Mathematica 5.2, Matlab R14, FrameMaker (3.0, 6.0) and WordPerfect 6 but that pretty much sums it up. I don't think I managed to get Matlab running though.

RE: Solaris/Software/Games
Battalion, it worked on SunOS 4, Solaris (I've personally had it run on Solaris 10 SPARC), Irix, BeOS, OSX, BSD, and AIX. It's a fun little game, and I think it even came on the IndiZone 3 CD https://www.evl.uic.edu/aej/AndyBattalion.html

Octane - R10K @ 250MHz, 1GB, MXI Graphics, Irix 6.5.28
2x Sun Sparcstation IPC - Weitek @ 25MHz, 32MB, CG6 framebuffer
Sun Blade 2500 - Dual Ultrasparc IIIi @ 1.6GHz, 4GB, XVR-100, Solaris 10 & Debian 7.11

RE: Solaris/Software/Games
Here's a couple I haven't seen posted yet:

TGCWare (x86/SPARC v2.6-9)
TGCWare also has IRIX binaries for 5.3 and 6.2 available.

http://www.synack.net/~bbraun/sunos4/ (SunOS 4 Binaries)

Digital Personal Workstation
Hewlett-Packard Visualize C3700 (HP-UX 11.11)
IBM RS/6000 7011-250 (AIX 4.3.3) | IBM RS/6000 7044-170 (AIX 5.3)
Silicon Graphics Indy R4600
Sun SPARCclassic (SunOS 4.1.4) | Sun Ultra 1 (Solaris 2.6) | Axil 311

Any luck with FrameMaker 3.0 license/crack for its demo-version install?  Been stuck not being able to save anything.  FrameMaker 3 looks great on an old Sparcstation.
I am also looking for anything for SunOS 4.x..  or Photoshop for SunOS and/or Solaris.

Somewhere I may have framemaker 7.2 for solaris, ilogix for solaris/sparc, Maple 13, Matlab R2009b, Modeltech 56d (sun), Opnet modeler 2.5-b, Viewlogic powerview 6.0 and 6.1 for sun/solaris, Rational Rhapsody 4.01 for solaris, Slickedit 2.2 for solaris, STATA 10 for unix (i think it covers solaris), Lots of old Rational Clearcase stuff, Checkpoint Firewall, Gauntlet Firewall, Veritas clustering and filesystem software, etc..

Also.. GemRB: http://www.gemrb.org/wiki/doku.php?id=start compiles cleanly with no mods needed on Solaris 10 with a full set of OpenCSW packages installed. However, every 5-10 mins or so the game crashes but its quick to save and restore to resume after a crash so its just an annoyance. GemRB plays Baldurs Gate 1 and 2, Icewind Dale, and Planescape torment. Runs and looks great even on a 400mhz UltraSPARC CPU (Sun Ultra2, etc..).
I had provided binaries on Nekochan before.

With efforts from Dexter1.. we were able to compile GemRB on IRIX too. It works, but at set points very early in the game it crashes. Someone with some C++ experience and lots of time needs to dig into it. Since it runs on a big-endian SPARC, it should run on IRIX.

RE: Solaris/Software/Games
BTW, if anyone is interested, here's some Solaris stuff I have kicking around:

- Sun Java Workshop 2.0 (Solaris, and IIRC Windows)
- Sun SPARCworks Professional C/C++ 3.01 (SunOS and Solaris)
- Sun WorkShop C/C++ 4.2 (Solaris)

I'm missing the keys for the last two though, so you'll need to figure out how to bypass the FlexLM.

RE: Solaris/Software/Games
That'd absolutely be good to have if you have the time to image and upload it. Though, yes, licensing issues may be a problem unless someone happens to have those kicking around.

RE: Solaris/Software/Games
Now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure that there's a perpetual demo key floating around for Sun WorkShop C/C++ 4.2

I think Escimo had posted it on Nekochan, but I took a look on the Nekonomicon, and I can only find a link to the license key for WorkShop 5

Maybe the later post didn't get archived.
