Re: "-woff all" breaks or makes compilation?

oh dang it, I didn't get a chance to grab those files - I was planning on sitting down on the weekend to look this over :( * Can you maybe upload them to the ftp? I put the projects up on github here: https://github.com/danielhams/daceps You can pull down a tarball of the code from here: https://gi...

Re: "-woff all" breaks or makes compilation?

I couldn't find the old projects I had, but I'll need something like them at some point so a little bit of fiddling later - here's a couple of tarballs. Each has the same three projects (base lib, second lib, program using them). daceps-initial.tar.gz - These is the kind of project a maintainer star...

Re: "-woff all" breaks or makes compilation?

The entire autoconfig/config/make toolset is rather confusing to me. I'm slowly working my way through the GNU make manual. This may or may not help, depending on where you are on your journey of discovery .-) The way the auto* tools hang together isn't obvious at first glance - and is related most...

Re: pthreads not found with newest xz 5.2.4?

Hmm ... that might be because libpthread is only available as a shared library (.so file) on IRIX. There isn't a static libpthread.a to use to create a static libxz.a. It would make a lot of sense that --disable-shared is to blame for the pthreads issue. Yeah, I thought that might be the case too, ...

Re: pthreads not found with newest xz 5.2.4?

Hey gijoe, MIPSPro works fine for me with "O1" and a simple --prefix=BLAH on the configure line - and it picks up pthreads with the "check whether pthreads work with -pthread... yes". Then I went and added all your CFLAGS + "--disable-shared" - and indeed it no longer picks up pthreads (and of cours...

Re: The Thinly Sliced Developments

Here's a first release of my little development bootstrapping tool "didbs". Needs mips4, fair chunk of ram, 2Gb of disk ish. You can find quick destructions here: https://github.com/danielhams/didbs/blob/master/README.md It builds the following tools: autoconf-2.69 automake-1.16.1 bash-3.2.57 bzip2-...

Re: neko_coreutils-8.12 in beta - sort is broken

Usual place: https://github.com/danielhams/didbs/blob/master/packages/coreutils/coreutils.fixupforsgi.patch For 8.29 I'm now down to two consistent failures and one intermittent failure. The intermittent failure is annoying + doesn't happen all the time - it looks like sometimes USR1 signals aren't ...

Re: neko_coreutils-8.12 in beta - sort is broken

Couple more little tweaks here: https://github.com/danielhams/didbs/blob/master/packages/coreutils/coreutils.fixupforsgi.patch A bit of detail: [*] coreutils-8.29/src/numfmt.c - make use of dexters suggestion of get_fpc_csr and set_fpc_csr to disable flush to zero of denormalised floats (helps reduc...
