Re: Some compilation info

My failed attempt at compiling Filezilla 3.35.1 - GCC 4.7.3 is apparently unable to compile it also... I guess we need a newer GCC... export CC=/usr/bin/cc export CXX=/usr/bin/CC export CFLAGS="-c99 -diag_suppress 3649 -diag_error 1035 -woff all -g0 -Ofast=ip32_10k -O3 -n32 -mips4 -OPT:Olimit=0:rou...

Re: What Sun Microsystems Hardware do you have?

Yes, that was the original idea (see last paragraph of http://forums.irix.cc/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=60#p1883). Of course only if it doesn't create too much work for you. :-) Sorry for taking a while to respond. The SunFRU PN is 375-3459-02. No issue, thanks for your board P/N, which seems to be the l...

Re: What Sun Microsystems Hardware do you have?

So you would like me to check my board's P/N as well as the combination P/N? Yes, that was the original idea (see last paragraph of http://forums.irix.cc/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=60#p1883). Of course only if it doesn't create too much work for you. :-) Sorry for taking a while to respond. The SunFRU PN...

Re: DOA O2

Sounds like the motherboard isn't seated on the frontplane, the cpu pimm isn't seated or ram isn't seated. I've twice had the solid red light and once it was ram not seated properly and second time it was after I'd swapped out the original R5k 180 for the Rm5200 300. It took several attemps and POW...

Re: What Sun Microsystems Hardware do you have?

Ok, so at least the configuration is valid. What about your P/Ns? According to serverworlds , PN 375-3325 is the board for 2x 1.5 GHz CPUs. Ok thanks. This (system board) P/N is used in multiple combination P/Ns (i.e. 375-3344 (V210/V240) with 1 x 1 × 1.336GHz US IIIi, 375-3345 (V210 only) with 2 x...

Re: What Sun Microsystems Hardware do you have?

[...] Would you mind and have a look at the P/Ns of your V240? If you open the machine and stand beside it, the PSUs far from you and the - hopefully empty - PCI64 slots close, the "Motherboard Assy" label is located below jumperJP4 which is left of the ALi south bridge and the combination label is...

Re: What Sun Microsystems Hardware do you have?

A Sun Fire V240 (maxed) [...] v240neofetch.PNG Nice machine Larbob and also nice to see Tribblix working on it. I also have both V240 and V210, although the other way round (i.e. 1 x V210 and 2 x V240). Sometime ago I wanted to upgrade one of my V240s to two 1.5 GHz UltraSPARC IIIi but failed for s...

Re: DOA O2

Hmm, I would strip it all down and do a careful visual inspection of everything ESPECIALLY connectors. Might use a needle where applicable to see if nothing that shouldn't be loose is, or the opposite. I would concentrate on the CPU module, as that's what the Hardware Reference Guide says it's fuck...
