Re: New Moderator: dexter1

I doubt I'd bother going back to Nekochan at this point. If it was to come back, all the usual nonsense would return with it, that being the greybeards and crazy people and jerks and know it alls and I don't miss the no sharing policies either. I understand why sharing wasn't allowed over there. But...

Re: What do you use your SGI machines for?

I'm maybe a bit more of an oddity in that I never really got into 3D modelling and rendering, despite this being SGI's forte. I was introduced to SGIs due to my dad and his colleague who managed all the systems at a local university, hence my interest is more technical in nature. My Indigo2 and Fue...

Re: What big mistakes did you just make?

While struggling with it (to avoid scratching the floor), the end accidentally smacked the top of one of the shades and broke it. I was very he...

I suspect that the Octane's EMXI graphics puts out considerably more heat than the vPro as well. Fuel has a reputation of being rather cheaply built and unreliable.

Re: Name projects you care about

BSD's. Free/Open/Net/Dragonfly. OpenVMS hobbyist program. Since I have an AlphaserverStation under my charge. :) OpenIndiana. Icaros(derivative of AROS). Although the guy who runs the project got salty with me, for pointing out a bug in the shell that froze the system solid and said something along ...

Re: FTP is Online

Little problem. I've found numerous instances (so far) of photo.scr on the FTP, in places outside the incoming directory. Either someones computer is infected, or there is foul play involved here. Do NOT download these files. They are some kind of cryptocurrency(monero) mining malware for Windows. E...

Re: FTP is Online

I can upload Framemaker 5.5, as well. Won't upload unless allowed though. It does need a license code. But it's a very basic setup. No Flexlm, or dongles.

Re: What digital Hardware do you have?

Since, we're more lenient here about software. It would be nice (if possible) if there was a place on the FTP, for OpenVMS and Digital stuff in general.

People talking about SGI Fuels and such on an IRC channel some years ago now. :)
